MOVING ON UP! *CHEER PLACEMENTS HAPPENING NOW*

We are excited when athletes are able to move up through hard work and dedication. Today we move two of our athletes who was determined to make a higher level team. Coming in nearly everyday to train and hit all their skills, you have shown to be a champion at heart.

But moving up a level leaves a space open on our entry level team. SOOOOOO…That means TRYOUTS will open up once again!

2 SPACES have opened up for our NO EXPERIENCE required team. Contact Director Dre at cheer@rawtalents.org or 510-992-6811. Schedule your placement today!

The team is looking for 1 Strong Base and 1 Flyer.

Bay Area Fremont Stars Cheer Raw Allstars

Come see why our dedicated athletes experience rapid growth. See why our Small Division Program has taking titles against large programs and teams twice our size.

We don’t claim to be perfect, we have our high’s and our low’s. But, we have big high’s (like taking 1st place at Nationals hosted by USA Varsity Jamsport and more) when ALL Athletes are focused, dedicated, hardworking, make practices, stretch daily and focus on being the best they can be on the mats. That is the formula for #success

RAE FAME Allstars takes 3rd at Nationals

10 Apr

This March, RAE took several teams to Nationals. Fame was one that faced several challenges. Tumbling mental blocks, at least a third of the team was down for nearly a full month with either a bad flu, bronchitis or pneumonia. The team had only 2 full team practices in over 2 months to gear up for competition.

In a situation like this, coaches have to consider pulling the team from competition or letting them hit the stage. The illness was not the kids fault, fever’s were high and they had to miss practices. After sitting with our RAE family we decided to allow Fame to take the competition floor.

We are very proud to say despite all their challenges they still took home 3rd. Now to some of you third may not sound great. But you need to understand these kids had only 2 full team practices and had to change every stunt group due to some members being out on competition day.

With all these challenges they should have scored very low, but they hit the mats with pride and scored just 1 point behind second place and 2 points behind 1st. Imagine if everyone was healthy and able to make all the practices and hit the floor with the original routine. Well, we will hit the floor one more time before the season ends. Congrats to FAME and See you at internationals!

Bay Area Cheerleading and Competitive Dance – Where bay area stars are made!

Competitive Cheerleading and Dance is no different than any other sport in the world. For those of you who do not consider cheerleading a sport, let’s take you down a quick road of their practice training sessions.

At RAW Elite Allstars our 3-5 yr old team condition with push ups, jumping jacks, bridges, yoga poses, leg lifts and kicks. Then our 5 to 26 yr  old team members conditioning consist of 45 minutes to an hour of: burpees tuck jumps, jumping jacks, push ups, squats, handstand push-up, barrel hold push-ups, killers, kick squat drills, wall sits, bridge stands, handstand springs, splits, running, calf raises, football drills (stamina drills and vertical jump drills) – this is immediately followed by repeat drills of picking up and tossing kids into the air. Then followed by full choreography for 1 to 3 hours depending on the team they are on. I encourage anyone who does not believe cheerleading is athletic to go join a competitive dance or cheer program and work one of their full conditioning sessions with them followed by trying to keep up with choreography and stunts, acro and all the other amazing skills the athletes pull.

For those of you who have been scared of competitive cheer because you are worried you can’t do it or it will be a lot of work. Don’t be scared! It is a lot of work and anyone willing to give it their all will be amazing. This does not mean everyone gets it on their first try or fifth try. It’s a sport that requires you to build physical strength and mental confidence. But if you are willing to do the work you will be amazing.

It will not be easy but it will be worth it!
